About
•Amn-O-Iman – Peace and Faith community in High Wycombe works to promote understanding, cooperation and good relations between organisations and persons of different faiths in the community.
•It does this through providing opportunities for linking and sharing of good practice, providing advice and information to help the development of new inter faith initiatives and the strengthening of existing ones. It raises awareness within wider society of the importance of inter faith issues and develops programmes to increase understanding about faith communities, including both their distinctive features and areas of common ground.
General Rules
• We expect mutual respect of religious belief, practice, and culture at all times. However, if someone chooses to follow the faith of his/her choice, we will respect the freedom and choice of an individual rather than penalizing the person. Also if the individuals do exchange their phone numbers and they would like to keep in touch and get to know each other better and develop further friendship and trust, we will encourage such friendships and relationships.
• No bickering: It is more important to understand than to be understood.
